Below you will find a list of towns and their castles along with additional information. Approximate distance from Hotel Batory*** is given in brackets:
- Krościenko on the Dunajec River (7 km) - Pieniny Castle - ruins. The highest located Polish stronghold. The blue trail leads to it.
- Czorsztyn (16km) - castle in Czorsztyn - ruins. You can visit it throughout year (with exceptions).
- Niedzica (20km) - castle in Niedzica - restored. Open to visitors throughout the year (with exceptions).
- Zabrzeż (20km) - Zabrzerze castle – no longer exists.
- Nowy Sącz (52km) - Royal Castle in Nowy Sącz - ruins. A city park was built on the ruins of the castle, and only a part of the walls with the reconstructed Kowalska Tower survived to our times.
- Kurów (57 km) - the Kurowska Góra castle - no longer exists.
- Wytrzyszczka (66km) - Tropsztyn castle - restored. Open to visitors in July and August.
- Gródek on Dunajec (70km) - the castle in Gródek on Dunajec - no longer exists.
- Rożnów (72km) - castle in Rożnów - ruins. Also known as Zawisza Czarny castle. Closed until 2020 due to archaeological and restoration work.
- Czchów (75km) - castle in Czchów - ruins. Only the tower has survived to our times. You can visit it from May to October (with exceptions).
- Melsztyn (95km) - castle in Melsztyn - ruins. Available for visitors all year round, free of charge.
- Wielka Wieś (100km) - Trzewlin castle - ruins. Available for visitors all year round, free of charge. The blue tourist trail that starts on the market square in Wojnicz runs to the ruins of the castle.
